TREE PRUNING SERVICE

We are only present a tiny part of the life of a tree, which is why it is our duty to take the greatest care of it. When done preventively, pruning is synonymous with preservation. Removing dead, diseased or harmful branches ensures that wounds on the tree heal, contributing to the health, safety and strengthening of its long-term structure. Abattage Arbtec team will advise you on the appropriate work to be done depending on the circumstances.

IMPORTANT Tips Before Pruning Your Tree

  • The age of your tree:

The older the tree, the more frequently pruning must be done. 10 years and under, we prefer a small regular pruning every 2 years, however when a tree reaches the age of twenty years or more, it is recommended to carry out pruning every ten years. However, for trees aged ten to twenty years, pruning every five years is recommended.

  • The best season to prune your trees:

Tree pruning should not be done at any time of the year. The ideal period is in autumn, after the leaves have fallen and before the arrival of frost. Winter, when nature is at rest, is also a suitable option. It is strongly recommended not to prune in early spring, when the sap rises vigorously in the tree. Some gardeners also opt for summer pruning to promote faster healing. â€‹

In some cases, felling the tree is necessary because it becomes dangerous and could cause damage.  It is essential to contact your municipality before felling your tree to find out the regulations.
